A Simple Question

Here is a simple question, one that millions and millions of us ask all the time. (I hope.) “Why can’t we all just get along?” I know Barack Obama wants to get along. I know he’s a unique politician who will discuss what needs to be discussed so we have a chance - and “we” means every person on this earth. We need fresh new thinkers - that’s where great things can happen. A young and healthy brain in a young and compassionate man who knows how to use himself for positive change.

I just want the George W. Bush era a long way back in my rearview mirror. I can forgive President Bush and his cabinet, but I cannot trust them or anyone who is within miles of his doctrine. I want to see happen what I know can happen again in this country: intelligence, honesty, enthusiasm, and excitement. The funding of a health plan and less funding of bombs. A new way of thinking and understanding is welcome and needed more than ever.

I’m gonna keep myself involved in this blog. Not just politics - in fact, rarely politics - but a variety of subjects to get the thoughts out of my mind and onto “paper”. I urge you to do the same. Let’s be respectful of all people’s beliefs and ideas, and just be decent human beings. I’m for that!
