When It’s Too Late to Just Say No

They’re born into good families
And they’re born into the streets
It don’t matter who you are
Or what you’re gonna be
It don’t matter how much money you make
Or who you know
One day you’ll realize
It’s too late to just say no

You don’t know why you can’t just stop
It gets you by the hand and runs you ’til you drop
It takes you places you don’t want to go
You wish you knew how to just say no
You say you’re gonna change
What’s that bottle in your hand
Your mind wants you to do
What your body just can’t stand
If you really had a choice
Would you choose to die so slow
Man, you ain’t got no choice
When it’s too late to just say no

You don’t know why you just can’t stop
It gets you by the hand and runs you ’til you drop
It takes you places you don’t want to go
You wish you knew how to just say no
