I just say ain’t you heard about me and her
We’re history
Let’s talk about something else
If we’re gonna talk at all
I’ve forgotten a whole lot about her
But I ain’t forgot it all
These days I feel a little stronger
The good times last a little longer
Sometimes I feel like I’ve never known her
I had her once but now she’s a goner
She’s out of my life and far away
My heart beats a little slower
She’s a memory I’m finally getting over
But I’ve gotta say
I sure loved her yesterday
I always wonder if they see through me
Clear to my heart
Do they see a man who’s pretending
And nearly falling apart
Sometimes I don’t even believe
What I tell myself
I don’t know if I’ll ever convince me
There ain’t nothing left
Sometimes I almost believe she’s out of my mind
Then I find myself thinking about her
Almost all the time
